Nice scooter...super fast! The App needs work but overall I like the BGT2 a lot.

I have been enjoying the Blade GT2+. There is a lot to like about this scooter and the performance is incredible. It is insanely quick! There have been a few issues, but mostly minor. I will say first and foremost the customer service from Ryodology was great. I pestered Eric and Brent for a couple weeks with endless questions before I purchased it, and they were very patient and helpful and answered all of my questions. So 5/5 for Ryodology. For the Blade G2, I will start by saying the build quality is really good. Some of the parts are a little rough around the edges but overall it is made thoughtfully and with great care (I’m an aerospace engineer so I pay attention to the little things!). When I first got it, I opened up the battery cover to inspect the inside. While it was very cramped (mine came with the big battery, so it really fills the space), it was packaged relatively well, with proper seals and harnessing. The controllers and wiring above them particularly cramped, but it did all fit. About ride quality, the suspension is fantastic and the brakes work very well (actually, too well, at first—you will need to adjust the e-brake setting to tune them back). The scooter is blazing fast…almost scary fast off the line. First time I was tinkering with it in the garage it nearly ripped itself out of my hands and burned tire marks across my floor. I have adjusted the speed settings to make it less aggressive, but it still catches me off guard sometimes (lack of experience I guess, so I will continue to get more used to it). If you want something sporty and aggressive, this is for you! If you are looking for something to just cruise around town, there are likely better-suited options. It is rather bulky and heavy; portable, yes—it folds, but likely won’t fit in tight spaces so keep that in mind if you are needing something that folds up or can be moved up/down stairs often. While I have not taken it on an off-road trail (yet), I anticipate the Blade G2 should do very well, given the large, wide tires and accommodating suspension. I also like the folding mechanism and all the accessories (lights, horn, signals, etc.). It all works very well. As for things I DON’T like…first and foremost, the Teverun App really frustrates me (primarily the downloadable one for the cell phone, but the one integrated into the display has some issues too). There are several things in the app that just simply don’t work, almost like they were put there as a placeholder and they never finished coding it. It also locks up on me or freezes regularly, in certain parts of the menus. Several other parts of the app are confusing, either in the layout or lack of description. The Teverun website is not very useful and has a lot of old, irrelevant information. [There are some videos online, including one that Rydology sent to me, but they are for the older style display or older models.] The manuals Teverun provides online and in the package with the scooter are not applicable to the new app/display. So you will come across a lot of settings for which it will not be exactly clear what they control. Hopefully they will continue to revise the app, and provide more updated documentation—I’ve already seen an app update so hopefully they keep making it better. The other thing I did not like is the combo finger throttle/mode button. The mode button layout is weird and makes it awkward to navigate several of the menus. And having to split the fingers in your right hand to control both the brake lever and the throttle is uncomfortable. I have since replaced this with the upgraded thumb throttle and dedicated mode button. I like this new layout much better than what comes stock and recommend it (can be purchased from Rydology). [Note I also have replaced the fixed handlebar with a Dualtron folding handlebar…took a little modification, but it is nice and makes the scooter much more compact when transporting.] Rydology provided me with the removable seat, which gives some ride flexibility. If you opt to attach the seat, one small note is that the baseplate for the seat does not exactly match the bolt pattern on the scooter--it is for the previous generation Blade model, so you will need to drill 2 new holes in the plate, but not a big deal. Overall, a really nice scooter. Teverun is a fairly new company and they have a few things to work out on the software side, but overall they make a quality product that has some super nice features!
